Now that the 11 hectares of the Jolive zone have been prepared for construction, Liege Airport announces the next phase of its strategic plan with which it aims to process more than 2 million tons per year: the construction of a new complex of warehouses with direct access to the runways.
The new complex being built by Liege Airport should be operational by the end of 2028. It will be located at the end of the runway on the north side and will eventually include three warehouses and a maintenance hangar. “This unique infrastructure project offers an exceptional opportunity for companies looking to acquire a strategic position with direct access to the runways in one of Europe’s most important freight hubs. Currently, opportunities of this size and quality are extremely rare on the market. From freight halls and bypass facilities to canopies and office spaces, this project is designed to support the future growth and operational excellence of the logistics and air freight sector,” explains the Walloon airport in the context of a ‘call for evidence’ interest’ that has been launched to future concessionaires.
The area where these new front-line buildings will be built will also house a series of back-line warehouses.
