After two months of strong decline, the Belgian heavy truck market recovered in March. Only the registrations of trucks over 16 tons show a decrease, but thanks to the good performance of light trucks and (especially) tractors, an increase of 5.4% was recorded. However, over the entire first quarter the market lags behind by 8.7%, a decline that is limited to 1.89% for tractors, but rises to 21.53% for heavy trucks. The semi-trailer market, on the other hand, is doing very well, as registrations there have increased by 22% since the beginning of 2026.
