Hospital Logistics in Aarschot has had a new CEO since the beginning of April: Roel Vanmaele, previously interim CCO at Eutraco. At this logistics service provider for the hospital and long-term care sector, he succeeds Erwin Bormans, who at the beginning of the year – after seven months at the head of Hospital Logistics – started as general manager of the AZ Klina hospital in Brasschaat. Roel Vanmaele has extensive experience in the transport and logistics sector, including at Distrilog, Ahlers, Mainfreight and therefore also Eutraco. In 2024 he was COO of De Lijn.
“I am enthusiastic to start this great challenge at Hospital Logistics,” he says. “We provide logistics work here with high added value and social relevance. That really appeals to me. We purchase the goods that we store and transport here ourselves. That makes this company different and interesting as a logistics player.”
