LCZ Logistiek Centrum Zwevegem is expanding its network with the arrival of shipping company CMA CGM as a partner carrier at the ‘container yard’ depot site. Thanks to its strategic location, LCZ offers an attractive alternative to road transport to and from the port of Antwerp.
The collaboration focuses strongly on intermodal transport via inland shipping. This should ensure fewer CO₂ emissions, less traffic congestion and a more efficient flow of goods. At the same time, shippers and forwarders can count on more flexibility when booking container yard orders. With this expansion, both partners want to contribute to a further modal shift and reduce the number of trucks on the road.
