Nick Molden, the founder & CEO of Emissions Analytics, talked about the complex and important subject of tyre emissions in his Tyre Industry Conference 2025 presentation. In 20 minutes he provides an overview of the complex chemistry and physics behind the approximately 6 million tonnes of microplastics produced globally by rolling tyres every year. He also talked about the impact of electrified powertrains, which make cars heavier and deliver more torque instantaneously. He also revealed some potentially surprising data about the most toxic tyre products.
