Alexandra Thompson, CEO of GASP Motor Project presented the progress made by the project and what the tyre industry can learn about recruiting younger people to the sector from its experience at the Tyre Industry Conference 2025. GASP was established in 2005 as a diversionary activity for young people engaging in anti-social behaviour around four Surrey Villages. In short, it was originally focused on those that set light to cars. But, working in exactly the opposite direction, it offers vehicle maintenance and mechanics training.
The full video of Thompson’s presentation, produced by the NTDA, is available below and on the association’s YouTube channel.
