Must read

Business leaders from Marangoni and across the UK tyre sector celebrated the official opening of the new, purpose-built reatreading production facility of Tuf Treads in Wales in mid-2025. The opening ceremony, led by Tuf Treads founder Mike Rees and director Daniel Rees, alongside Marangoni’s president Vittorio Marangoni, and senior UK manager Phil Robinson, drew guests from new premium tyre manufacturers, national wholesalers, industry trade bodies, and representatives of the Welsh Government. The opening of the 22,000 square foot, state-of-the-art production site marks a significant milestone in a 45-year partnership, as Tuf Treads makes a bold leap back into retread production after a short pause. Tyres & Accessories was present at the opening, and spoke to key figures about the new facility and the regeneration of the South Wales retreading operation.
