Major problems this morning in the port of Antwerp

Must read

The CPU interface, which provides access to the container terminals of the port of Antwerp, has been experiencing disruptions since 4 am this morning. It is therefore no longer possible to collect import containers at terminals 1742, 1700, 869 and 913.

The CPu (Certified Pick-up) is managed by Nxtport. When an import container has been cleared, it generates a QR code that is used by all players in the transport chain and is indispensable to access the container terminals in the port of Antwerp. “The CPU has not been working at all since four in the morning. Several carriers have been stuck since this morning and the entire logistics chain has been paralyzed,” reports Tom Claeys (Transport Heirwegh).

Nxtport responded at 6:52 a.m. and acknowledged “experiencing issues with the Certified Pick-up application in the production environment.” The technical solution was implemented just before 9am, but it will take some time for the delays to be resolved. And for the carriers: informing customers and charging the costs that this inconvenience has caused.
