De Haese, a company from Menen that specializes in earthworks, recently put a MAN TGS 41.540 in 8×8 version into use. A quite exceptional vehicle with an Individual Lion S version and equipped with, among other things, a Tralert lighting set. The delivery was provided by West-Trucks garage in Zonnebeke.
It is the combination of a configuration with four driven axles, hydraulically sprung rear axles with automatic level control and a 540 hp engine that makes this vehicle unique in Belgium. However, that was not enough for De Haese, who had the vehicle equipped by Wierda with a Wide Spread system, which reduces the turning circle. The rest of the construction was completed by Alumac and includes a 30-ton Hiab container system. The container is made of Hardox steel with an automatic tarpaulin and a hydraulic rear door.
Autocam also installed a complete Tralert lighting set in Izegem: light bars on the roof and in the bumper, position lights with indicators in the grille, work lights all around, LED indicators and rear marker lights. This MAN cannot possibly go unnoticed, but more importantly: the driver is assured of excellent visibility under all conditions.
