Bpost has placed a new order of 500 extra electric vans. This will thus exceed the Belgian post group this fall of 3,000 e-Vans.
The expansion fits within the broader plan to make all deliveries in Belgium CO₂ free by 2030 and to work completely climate neutral by 2040.
The greening of the fleet is running rapidly: in June 2023 the 1,000th E-van was taken into use, in June 2024 the counter was 2,000. In addition to the vans, the green fleet today has more than 7,700 vehicles, including (carg) O-bikes, LNG trucks and double trailers. In 15 cities with 84 postcodes, Bpost already delivers completely emission -free. The arrival of a first electric truck is also planned.
