Transuniverse Forwarding has entered into a strategic partnership for groupage transport between Belgium, Slovakia and the Czech Republic with the company Naxco/OTEC (Prague). This agreement is important because trade flows between these countries and Belgium are quite unbalanced: Belgium mainly exports goods suitable for groupage, while Czech and Slovak companies mainly export industrial products, which are transported as full loads. Transuniverse Forwarding was therefore looking for a new, solid partner who could develop groupage flows from the Czech Republic and Slovakia to Belgium. “Our previous partner provided excellent distribution in the Czech Republic and Slovakia, but did not sufficiently promote groupage to Belgium. This reinforced the imbalance, making delivery times and transport prices too dependent on the spot market,” explains Frank Adins, chairman of Transuniverse.
