The Board of Directors of logistics real estate company WDP will have four new members: Bernard Boel, Isabelle De Pauw, Barbara Bajorat and Gwenaëlle de la Raudière. With these four newcomers, the company combines family continuity with a further strengthening of its international expertise and governance, in line with its European growth plans.
The reference shareholder, the De Pauw family, nominates two representatives of the next generation as non-executive directors, Bernard Boel and Isabelle De Pauw. This confirms the family’s long-term commitment after the death of Tony De Pauw, who played an important role in the development of WDP.
In addition, WDP wants to appoint two independent directors with a distinctly international profile. Barbara Bajorat has more than 20 years of experience in leadership positions at international FMCG groups, such as Mars and Diageo, and is today Managing Director EMEA at Champion Petfoods. Gwenaëlle de la Raudière built her career largely at Airbus, where she spent almost three decades in senior financial and strategic positions. Today, she sits on boards of directors and audit and risk committees within the AXA Insurance group and at Naval Group.
All proposed appointments received a positive advice from the Nomination Committee and were approved by the Board of Directors and the supervisory authority FSMA. They will be submitted for approval to the upcoming WDP Annual General Meeting.
