Yokohama Tire driver Laura Hayes is the subject of a new Pikes Peak film from Apple TV+, now streaming on Apple Vision Pro. Adventure: Hill Climb follows Hayes as she pushes to beat her 2024 record at the Pikes Peak International Hill Climb. She races once again on Yokohama’s ADVAN tires, this time targeting a sub-10-minute run.

Hayes won the Pikes Peak GT4 Trophy by Yokohama in a Toyota GR Supra GT4. She set a time of 10:20.487 — the fastest ever for a woman driving a car up the mountain. Yokohama continues as the exclusive tire supplier for the GT4 division.

In Hill Climb, Hayes returns to the mountain using Yokohama ADVAN A005 slick tires. She sets her sights on breaking the 10-minute barrier under difficult road conditions.

“I’m proud to have had Yokohama by my side in my past couple of Pikes Peak attempts,” Hayes said. “We won the GT4 division last June on the ADVAN A052s. You’re only as fast as the tires beneath you. When we were challenged to push the 10-minute barrier, we knew exactly what tire to use. The A005s delivered out of the gate to the finish line, making the best of a day where road conditions were particularly challenging.”

“Yokohama is incredibly honored to have supported Laura Hayes in her record-breaking runs up Pikes Peak,” said Patricia Wall, Yokohama’s motorsports senior manager. “Her achievements while filming with Apple showcases the exceptional performance of our products. It’s thrilling to see Apple capture these historic moments from such a unique perspective, bringing the excitement and precision of motorsports to a wider audience.”

Yokohama said the A005 slick is a purpose-built racing tire designed for max grip, fast lap times, and precise handling. The A052, used in Hayes’ 2024 victory, is a street-legal performance tire.

Yokohama Expands North American Racing Efforts in 2025

Yokohama’s 2025 motorsports activities will span several top-tier series and events. These include the Porsche Endurance Challenge North America, Porsche Sprint Challenge North America by Yokohama, and more. The brand will also continue in the Porsche Carrera Cup North America and Mustang Cup.

Beyond sports car racing, Yokohama supports Subaru Motorsports USA and returns as the exclusive supplier for the Pikes Peak GT4 Trophy by Yokohama. Off-road programs include the Yokohama Tire King of the Hammers Every Man Challenge Race, the Championship Off-Road Series, SCORE, and the TrophyLite Series.
