A few weeks after the opening of its new distribution center in Bornem, VRD has received the keys to two electric trucks: a MAN eTGX and a MAN eTGS. The delivery took place at Garage Lockefeer in Sint-Niklaas.
“VRD has been playing a pioneering role in the electrification of transport activities for years and opted for their first electric MAN eTGM several years ago, even before the start of series production. That project proved so successful that the new MAN eTGS replaces this vehicle today,” says Stijn Tielens (Managing Director MAN Truck & Bus Belgium). The new eTGS rigid has five battery packs. The second vehicle is a MAN eTGX 20.449 4×2 BL SA tractor, equipped with six battery packs.
