Triangle Tyre Co., Ltd. is planning to construct its first overseas tyre factory in the Prey Veng Province of Cambodia. The new factory will have an initial annual capacity of 7 million tyres (6 million semi-steel, that is car and light truck tyres; and 1 million all-steel radial tyres; truck tyres). The 3.219 billion yuan (US$461 million; €395 million; £347 million) is designed to leverage Cambodia’s strategic location near natural rubber sources, low labour and land costs, plus favourable investment incentives and proximity to major ports as well as supporting Triangle’s globalization strategy under China’s Belt and Road Initiative.
