Scania has just announced its results for the third quarter of 2025. Although sales have fallen slightly, the order book is well filled. When it comes to electric vehicles, the trend is exactly the opposite.
The Scania group’s turnover fell by 3%. This is the result of a slight decrease in the number of deliveries (-1%) to 21,545 vehicles. The share of electric vehicles was 0.7%, although the number of deliveries increased from 80 to 157 vehicles. If we look at the order book, we see that the share of electric vehicles is declining: there are only 133 zero-emission vehicles out of a total of 20,492, which equates to a market share of only 0.6%. Scania does not comment on these figures, but they are not in line with the previously announced targets. As a reminder, the Swedish manufacturer’s target is to sell one in two vehicles in a ‘zero-emission’ version by 2030, in just five years’ time.
