Prometeon Tyre Group UK & Ireland has celebrated winning the Tyre Manufacturer of the Year at the National Tyre Distributors Association’s (NTDA) Tyre Industry Awards 2025, one of the UK’s most prestigious tyre sector accolades. The commercial tyre sector manufacturer said the award demonstrates its “progress, innovation, and commitment to sustainability since entering the UK market in 2018.” After launching the brand seven years ago, Prometeon claims to have grown to represent a double-digit market share in the UK truck tyre sector, partnering with some of the country’s most respected fleet and transport operators.
The awards judges commended Prometeon’s focus on innovation, product reliability, and sustainability, underpinned by strong customer relationships and a high-performance culture. The company’s UK-based SuperTruck network, launched in 2023, has strengthened national coverage and support for fleets, while its Pro Retread lifecycle solution helps operators reduce environmental impact and total cost of ownership.
Steve Tift, managing director of Prometeon Tyre Group UK & Ireland, said: “Winning the Tyre Manufacturer of the Year Award is a huge honour and an incredible moment for everyone at Prometeon. To be recognised by the NTDA – and by our peers in the industry – is a testament to the passion, expertise and dedication of our people.
“From being virtually unknown in the UK to now standing shoulder to shoulder with the industry’s biggest names, this award shows how far we’ve come. Our focus has always been on our customers, our people, and doing things the right way – and that’s what drives our continued success.”
Prometeon is a global brand dedicated to commercial tyres, with its products employed in the transportation of goods and people, agriculture, and off-the-road sectors. At the Tyre Industry Awards, Prometeon was also shortlisted for the Environmental & Sustainable Solution of the Year Award. Prometeon called the 2025 NTDA honour “an important milestone” in its journey “from a challenger brand to a recognised leader in innovation, sustainability, and customer partnership across the UK tyre industry.”
