Milence opens a new charging hub in Maasmechelen

Must read

Milence, the joint venture of Daimler Truck, the TRATON GROUP and the Volvo Group, has opened a new charging hub in Maasmechelen. The location is strategically located along the E314/A2 and connects important logistics regions such as Antwerp, Liège, Maastricht and Aachen. The hub strengthens the connections between Belgium, the Netherlands and Germany and is located along two European TEN-T corridors: the North Sea–Rhine–Mediterranean and the North Sea–Baltic.

The site has eight charging bays with four CCS chargers up to 400 kW and offers facilities such as showers, toilets, free WiFi and secure parking. In the next phase, the hub will be equipped with Megawatt Charging System technology, which allows electric trucks to charge within 30 to 45 minutes.

With this opening, Milence is further expanding its Belgian network. The company already operates two charging hubs in the port of Antwerp-Bruges and is working on a new site in Ghent, which should become operational in early 2026. Milence charges a standard rate of €0.399 per kWh (excluding VAT) and offers various payment options via e-Mobility Service Providers and its own payment cards.
