Ivens, the Antwerp construction company specialized in storage tanks, will start building a new hub in the French port city of Le Havre in 2026. The installation will serve for the storage of bio-cerosene, which is supplied via pipelines to airports.
Ivens already has a lot of experience with the construction of cryogenic storage tanks for liquid gases such as ammonia. “The demand for such installations is increasing strongly worldwide, driven by the switch to COâ‚‚-neutral energy sources,” says owner Peter van de Perck.
From the port of Antwerp, the family business has been supplying solutions for the chemical and energy sector since 1930, from design and prefabrication to assembly and maintenance. Transport and crane activities are also part of the services.
Ivens tank parks recently developed in Central Africa and the Middle East, among others. The company has more than 300 employees and runs an annual turnover of more than 70 million euros.
During a ‘behind the scenes’ event, Ivens exceptionally opened the doors of his production plant in the port of Antwerp.
