DKV Mobility takes over the Belgian Optimile

Must read

DKV Mobility announces the acquisition of Optimile SA, a Belgian supplier of SaaS software for electric mobility service providers and charging infrastructure operators. The shares were acquired from BNP Paribas Fortis and AG Insurance; the parties did not disclose financial details of the transaction.

Founded in 2016, Optimile offers services such as authorization, monitoring, access management and pan-European roaming for charging stations. In addition, Optimile operates a solution for consumers under the brand name Mobiflow. The company from Ghent employs about thirty people and saw its turnover increase explosively in two years, from 6.3 to 48.2 million euros between 2022 and 2024, the year in which it made a profit for the first time. Optimile will have access to more resources to accelerate the development of its platform and strengthen its market position.

DKV Mobility now manages approximately 1.5 million charging cards and tokens, as well as more than 260,000 charging stations, of which 112,000 are accessible to the general public. DKV Mobility’s roaming network provides access to more than 1.1 million charging points throughout Europe. The combined energy volume of the DKV Mobility group companies – GreenFlux, Smartlab and Optimile – amounts to approximately 1.4 billion kilowatt hours.
