The Lavrijsen family group, which was the very first DAF dealer in Belgium in 1952, has just announced the takeover of the Truckland garage in Beerse. With its head office in Geel, Lavrijsen now covers the entire Kempen.
Until now, Truckland Beerse has been dependent on Truckland International, whose shareholder is the Dutch group Pallieter, with Wim Van Doorne as chairman of the supervisory board. The company is therefore completely independent of Truck Trading Limburg, another DAF dealer, of which Willy van Doorne International is a shareholder. These are therefore two separate branches of the Van Doorne family, which founded DAF in 1928.
Lavrijsen is a family business whose roots go back to 1929 and which was the first DAF dealer in Belgium in 1952. Truckland International is therefore withdrawing from the Belgian market and allowing Lavrijsen to cover the entire Kempen region, with the branch in Beerse being renamed Lavrijsen Noorderkempen. The Lavrijsen group (represented by Petra Lavrijsen, left in the photo) now employs more than 45 people.
