Coats has introduced the ProBalance E900 wheel balancer. According to Coats, the E900 combines diagnostic-level precision with its Direct Drive system to shorten balancing cycles and improve ride quality. Built in the U.S. and backed by a 10-year motor warranty, the E900 provides direct-drive speed and runout measurement in one unit.
“The E900 was designed around one simple principle, ‘get it right the first time,’” said Ben Pryor, vice president of commercial at Coats. Pryor highlighted the system’s diagnostic precision and durable direct drive system as solutions to common shop challenges.
Coats ProBalance E900 Wheel Balancer Technology
The Coats Direct Drive system integrates the motor and spindle into a single, factory-balanced assembly. Coats said this minimizes vibration and delivers repeatable accuracy with low noise. ProBalance Technology uses a proprietary algorithm to correct residual unbalance for improved ride quality.
With ProMatch diagnostics, the ProBalance E900 wheel balancer identifies radial runout, flat spots, and rim defects before mounting. A touchscreen interface and laser-powered data entry ensure fast, accurate setup and operation, Coats said.
“The Coats E900 is designed to be simple and to the point,” said Kyle Harris, senior product manager at Coats. “We show you what is wrong, where, and how to fix it, so technicians can do the job right the first time, without digging through menus or second-guessing measurements.”
Coats said technicians helped design the E900. It features a serviceable design and support from Coats Connect Service, a coast-to-coast network of factory-trained Coats technicians.

Coats reports cycle times up to 10 times faster than traditional belt-driven balancers while maintaining precision. Scalable options include truck balancing kits, pin plates, and wheel lifts.
