bpost introduces bbox boutique, a new city-oriented logistics and retail concept. The first four boutiques, two in Brussels and two in Antwerp, will open their doors immediately.
Various services come together in the bbox boutique.
For consumers and retailers:
- receiving and sending parcels by local residents or passers-by;
- offering promotions or launches by e-commerce players looking for a physical location in the city, where they can also immediately offer their best-selling products to consumers;
- shipping items from one private individual to another without any labels or packaging.
For local communities:
- Click & Collect for local stores: the merchant puts the order in a locker, the buyer collects it whenever he wants, even outside the store’s opening hours.
- Offering same-day collection of missed deliveries to city residents.
- Renting bbox lockers as a private locker for local residents or passers-by during their shopping or museum visits.
For logistics players:
- Offering same-day delivery via ‘microwarehousing’, e-commerce players can have orders from their warehouses around the city delivered to a bbox boutique the same day
- Night Delivery for companies: postmen deliver the work materials of professionals at night to a bbox boutique near their workplace or home, so that they do not have to visit the company depot in the morning and save time.
The boutiques are accessible from 6 a.m. to 9 p.m. Outside these hours, users can access lockers via QR code. The first locations are in Hoogstraat and Tenbosstraat in Brussels, and in Volkstraat and Tabakvest in Antwerp.
