It has now been three weeks since Jaguar Land Rover (JLR) revealed that the company had fallen victim to a cyber attack and that production had been “severely disrupted”. Since then, the reopening of JLR’s production line has been put back a couple of times and unions and local politicians have called on government to support workers and suppliers alike. On that point, Tyres & Accessories asked Pirelli to comment on the impact the JLR closure is having on Pirelli and its Carlisle plant – which has built a reputation for prestige OE supply including JLR – in particular.
