Portilog is moving his day training in Antwerp from September 2025 to The Beaconon. This ‘hub’ for technology and logistics, located on Sint-Pietersvliet, will also be the new home base of the training center for employees from the port and logistics sector from November.
Portilog also starts training in Laakdal, Hasselt and Genk and celebrates its 75th birthday in October.
The Portilog head office is currently still located in the CEPA building. “For us, this new location means much more than just a different address. It is about the connection between training, practice and digital transformation,” says director Yves van Meirvenne.
Since he took the lead at the training center in 2018, new class locations have been added in Kallo, Ghent and Zeebrugge, among others. “We offer our courses where port and logistics companies are located. That is why we are now also expanding to the LITC Center in Laakdal, the VDAB Training Center in Genk Zuid and the Corda Campus in Hasselt. These are logistics regions along the Albert Canal and the E313, where there is a lot of things, and so on the courses- and the training- and so-offering- and so-offer- and so-offering- and so-offering- and so-offering- and so-offering- and so-offering- and so-offering- and so on the courses- and so on customs- and so-offering- and so on the courses- and so on customs, and so-offering- and so on the courses- and so on customs, and so-offering- and so on the courses- and so on customs, and so-offering- and so on the courses- and so on customs.”
Portilog was founded 75 years ago, in 1950. “Three -quarters of a century, that deserves a party,” said Yves van Meirvenne. “We will celebrate that on October 7 with our customers and partners in the Ark in Antwerp.”
