Garage Godefroid, specializing in service for light commercial vehicles from Iveco so far, makes the jump to the heavy trucks of the brand. This truck supply location in Manhay, which has its own infrastructure, has been developed in collaboration with that in Herstal and now offers optimum coverage of the E25 axis.
From 1 July, Belgian transporters can count on a new IVECO service point in Manhay. At the helm of this truck supply service center, Garage Godefroid, already recognized IVECO repairer for light commercial vehicles up to 7.5 tons, which now expands its services to the full range of the Italian manufacturer, with the S-Way, X-Way, T-Way and Eurocargo.
The geographical location of Manhay is of particular strategic importance. The location, located along the E25, will be the last Iveco service center for heavy trucks before Luxembourg, both for local vehicles and for vehicles that use this important European transport axis.
Optimum approach
To meet the requirements of the heavy commercial vehicles of the brand, Godefroid has created an extra building that is specifically intended for this purpose. “This new infrastructure has two entrance gates and two streets that are equipped with modern equipment,” said Cathy Godefroid. As a result, multiple vehicles can be treated under optimum conditions at the same time. “
The staff of Godefroid will achieve the necessary IVECO certifications, guaranteeing a competence level that is in accordance with the manufacturer’s standards. This approach guarantees continuity in the know-how and at the same time expands the competencies of the existing team that will provide maintenance, repairs and the roadside assistance for IVECO trucks in the region.
The delivery of spare parts will be an essential part of this new truck supply service center. The existing stock for light commercial vehicles will be expanded with specific truck parts. A direct delivery of parts has been set up, which optimizes the response times and the availability of customers’ vehicles.
Complementarity
“The launch of these new facilities is based on close collaboration with Hocké Truck Supply (Herstal), which contributes his technical expertise and knowledge of the Iveco brand, creating a coherent network,” says Robert Hocké, director of the Liège location.
This initiative illustrates the development strategy of the IVECO network in Belgium, whereby local partnerships are preferred to strengthen the proximity to the customer. By trusting the expertise of Godefroid and complementarity with Hocké Truck Supply, this new service center wants to become a reference for the maintenance of IVECO vehicles in this important region for Belgian and European transport.
