Jungheinrich will celebrate its 50th anniversary in Belgium in 2026. “It is a moment to honor our history, but above all to look ahead,” says Harm de Vries, Managing Director of Jungheinrich Belgium. “The future of intralogistics is digital, connected and automated. We continue to play a pioneering role in this.” There is an anniversary promotion for customers every month: in May there is a discount of up to 50% on forklift seats.
The intralogistics specialist, which started in Belgium on April 1, 1976, focuses on e-commerce for the sale of electric pallet trucks. “Electric pallet trucks have become commodities,” says Harm de Vries. “Customers know exactly what they need. We want to make the sales process as easy as possible so that you can buy the machine you need with just a few clicks.”
Wanted: technical employees!
To keep the service up to date and continue to grow, the Haasrode company is looking for technical profiles. “Technical professions remain quite difficult to fill. Today we have about 120 technicians and there is room for 5 to 7 additional employees.”
Today, Jungheinrich is increasingly focusing on automation, partly because logistics companies are finding it increasingly difficult to find suitable employees. “But when I started at Jungheinrich Belgium in 1988, we were doing an important automation project at Janssen Pharmaceutica,” concludes Harm de Vries.
