Harald Seidel hands over the baton to the head of DAF Trucks

Must read

Harald Seidel, the current chairman and CEO of DAF Trucks, will resign from his position in mid-July 2026. From July 1, his duties will be taken over by Jim Walenczak, the current CEO of Kenworth Trucks, who follows exactly the same path as Preston Feight, CEO of DAF between 2016 and 2018.

“It has been a privilege to lead DAF Trucks as the twelfth CEO in our company’s history, accelerating the company’s sustainable transformation towards emission-free road transport and offering our customers truck and transport solutions that lead the world to a better future. I am very proud of the DAF team and the many achievements we have made together in the nine years that I was a member of the DAF Board of Directors: the launch of the new generation of DAF trucks, the start of series production of our battery-electric trucks, winning the prestigious International Truck of the Year award three times in 2022, 2023 and 2026, the establishment of the DAF Helping Hands foundation to support local charities, the launch of our program for an open and inclusive culture ‘Together We Are DAF’, and above all: putting the customer at the center of everything we do!”, says Harald Seidel on LinkedIn.
