Transport Verbeken was crowned ‘Transporter of the Year’ in 2023 and has now also won the ‘Green Truck Award’. The company meets all the criteria: the consumption of its fleet is strictly controlled, part of it runs on HVO, the first electric trucks are already on the road and the company produces 90% of its electricity with its own wind turbine.

The two other winners
In second place: the VDAB. Without financial support from the Social Fund, this ‘Flemish Employment Service’ put five electric trucks into use. It uses this to train future drivers. In this way, the drivers of tomorrow become familiar with the technologies of tomorrow.
Transport Trippaers from Genk often provides the last kilometer of intermodal connections. The company has been using its first electric tractor for this purpose for several months now.
