Waste processing specialist Renewi has purchased two electric Renault Trucks E-Tech D Wide. These are the first electric Renault Trucks that Renewi uses in Belgium, while the company already has about thirty in use in the Netherlands.
The two 26-ton trucks are equipped with a Terberg Olympus body that can be loaded semi-automatically. They will be used to collect waste in wheelie bins from 120 to 5,000 liters from private customers in Flemish Brabant and near Antwerp. They have a 376 kWh battery that can be charged with alternating current and direct current and are equipped with a Corner-Eye camera and a Birdview 360° camera to ensure the safety of the operators.
