Mickey Thompson Tires & Wheels introduced the MT Classic Forged, a reinvention of one of the brand’s most popular wheel designs. Inspired by the original Classic wheel, this modern monoblock forged version blends a vintage look with advanced engineering, Mickey Thompson said.
“The MT Classic Forged isn’t just a wheel. It’s a tribute,” said Blake Warner, channel manager of wheels at Mickey Thompson. “We’ve taken the timeless spirit of Mickey’s original design and reimagined it with aerospace-grade materials and aggressive specs to meet the demands of today’s builds.”
Forged Strength and Lightweight Performance
Forged from premium 6061-T6 aircraft-grade aluminum, Mickey Thompson said the MT Classic Forged is engineered for lightweight strength, corrosion resistance, and long-term durability. Its monoblock construction provides more rigidity than traditional cast wheels, it said.
The wheel’s manufacturing process enhances structural integrity while reducing unsprung weight—benefiting acceleration, braking, and overall handling, the company said.
Aggressive Fitment and Timeless Design
The MT Classic Forged pairs with Mickey Thompson’s all-new Baja Belted II tires. It features 14″ and 16″ widths, 3.5″ backspacing, and 17″ diameter options.
Its classic 8-hole face design, step lip, and deep barrel pay homage to Mickey Thompson’s rugged racing heritage, it said. A radiant high-polish finish and matching aluminum center cap complete the look.
