Xwift has completed the acquisition of Axitrans, once known as Axioma Transport. This small logistics player from Wommelgem specializes in distribution and occasional dedicated transport.
“The current owners of Axitrans, Nadine Heylen and Paul Badoux, have decided to retire. Since no succession was foreseen, a takeover by a strong partner who can guarantee continuity for customers and employees was chosen,” explains Pieter DFenys, CEO of Xwift. “With this acquisition, Xwift further strengthens its strategic focus on distribution within Belgium. The acquisition also brings three major customers to our portfolio.”
Axitrans has eight vehicles. Axitrans’ warehouse activities will be integrated at the Xwift site in Lier (ex-Vadesco).
