The Dutch transporter Vos Transport Group has acquired Mvitra from Diest. It is the first time that this family business has established itself in Belgium.
Vos Transport Group (which has nothing to do with Vos Logistics, NVDR) has a wide range of services in the field of national and international transport, distribution, warehousing and logistics services with branches in Deventer, Ittervoort, Groningen and Alblasserdam in the Netherlands, Cluj (Romania) and Kaunas (Lithuania). The fleet has approximately 150 combinations.
Mvitra was founded in 1990 by Maurits Vanhaeren and has a fleet of 15 trucks. It is a financially very healthy company. “Both Vos Transport Group and Mvitra are family businesses with a strong focus on reliability, quality and long-term cooperation. After a thorough exploration period, it turned out that both companies share the same values and vision for the future,” says Jerome Vos, director of Vos Transport Group. “The acquisition contributes to our ambition to reduce empty kilometers and maximize the load factor of journeys. The location in Diest is strategic in the region of various customers and is a valuable addition to our existing branches. By aligning routes and flows even better within the extensive network, a more sustainable and cost-efficient logistics operation is created. This fits seamlessly with our sustainability strategy.
The daily activities at Mvitra will continue unchanged. In the coming period, the Vos and Mvitra teams will work together on a smooth integration and the further development of joint growth plans.”
