Volvo Trucks has further refined its dynamic steering system Volvo Dynamic Steering with a new function that can detect a blowout and automatically reduce the effect within a fraction of a second by helping the driver keep the truck on track.
“With a blowout on a front wheel, the initial leak and the escaping air usually ensure that the steering wheel deviates and tilts the vehicle, causing it to get rid of course. Without supporting systems, the driver must respond immediately to avoid an incident, but statistics show that this is very difficult,” explains Anna Wrige Berling, from.
The upgrade Volvo Dynamic Steering system is available for all FH, FH Aero, FMX and FM models.
