In a new episode of Logistics TV, Herfurth Logistics takes us to its brand new headquarters and logistics center in Blue Gate Antwerp. The building of 9,000 m² of warehouse space and 2,000 m² of offices was completely designed with sustainable materials and techniques, and even produces more energy than it consumes.
With this investment, Herfurth Logistics, part of the Herfurth Group, strengthens its position in food, feed, bio and beverage logistics. Thanks to its location close to the port and Scheldt, the site offers options for multimodal transport via barges, while the last mile is carried out with cargo bicycles and electric vans.
The office itself was given an ergonomic design thanks to Meyer, with adjustable tables, flex desks and comfortable chairs. The staff could also participate in decisions about the design, which contributes to a modern and pleasant working environment.
