UPG UK & Ireland appoints Phillip Butcher as business development manager

UPG UK & Ireland has appointed Phillip Butcher as business development manager for South-East England. With nearly four decades of experience in the automotive aftermarket, including roles at Charlie Brown’s Autocentre, PartCo, Brown Brothers, FPS Distribution and Continental, Butcher brings extensive industry knowledge to the role. He praised UPG’s blend of innovation and traditional customer care, noting a strong alignment in values and goals. His responsibilities will include promoting the UPG brand, developing new business opportunities, and maintaining high service standards.

Butcher joins a workforce of over 80 professionals, backed by a network of distribution centres that enable UPG to offer exceptional service across the UK and Ireland, including same-day delivery in the North and Midlands.

Butcher commented: “I chose UPG for their forward-thinking views with a touch of old-school customer care. Combined with fantastic new ranges and opportunities, I couldn’t possibly turn the opportunity down.
