Turck Vilant Systems (TVS) has been offering Turnkey Traceability solutions for the optimization of logistics and production processes for more than 20 years. This also includes a solution for the efficient management of reusable transport packaging (RTI), which presents TVS at the Transport & Logistics Antwerp exhibition.
The solution includes RFID tags, fixed and mobile reading points (ports, trucks, handhelds) and a central software layer that collects and integrates all data into the ERP or WMS system. Real-time dashboards show where the RTIs are and provide insight into their use, status and content.
At the fair, TVS also presents the Shipment Calculator application, a handy tool that allows companies to estimate how much they can save thanks to RFID technology. By answering some questions about the shipping process (such as number of shipments, error margin, distances, etc.), the tool calculates the potential savings in costs and kilometers.
