This year marks 35 years since TVM Insurance founded a subsidiary in Belgium. TVM Belgium started on February 22, 1991 in the buildings of the Marine Underwriting Office in Antwerp.
This approach, aimed at the needs of transport companies, quickly met with success: within two years the turnover amounted to 100 million Belgian francs. Seven years later, TVM Belgium made the strategic decision to rely on independent brokers. In 2005, the Chevaliers de la Route campaign was launched, with the aim of making carriers aware of the importance of risk prevention. Since 2012, TVM Belgium has been based in Berchem and has expanded its range of specialized services for the transport and logistics sector with insurance solutions.
“What distinguishes TVM Belgium is a thorough knowledge of the sector, continuity and a strong anchorage in the market. TVM Belgium goes beyond insurance. Thanks to an integrated and data-driven approach to risk management, we focus on knowledge sharing, safety, prevention and damage control. In this way, TVM helps its customers to better manage their risks and strengthen the continuity of their activities. Always close to practice, in close collaboration with its broker partners and professionals from the sector,” explains Dirk Clement, general manager of TVM Belgium, out.
In the coming years, TVM Belgium wants to guide carriers in their energy transition and the introduction of new technologies, but also specifically adapt its offering to its own fleets.
