Truckfly by Michelin started with an app that collected the best ‘points of interest’ for truck drivers. This app today has more than 615,000 users in 44 European countries. Truckfly by Michelin is now shifting a gear higher with the launch of a GPS that is specially designed for trucks and takes all their technical limitations into account.
How many truck drivers will not get stuck in a village or a too narrow street, simply because Google Maps does not take into account the dimensions of their truck? For them, Truckfly by Michelin has developed a GPS that is specially intended for professional drivers and that is available through the Truckfly by Michelin app. “More than 86% of truck drivers use unsuitable navigation systems, originally designed for light vehicles, which leads to navigation errors, increased safety risks and economic losses. This is an important challenge for the safety of people, but also for the operational efficiency of transportation, Byment Faure explains Byment Faure Faure Faure, explains Byment Faure Faure Faure Faure Faure Faure Faure Faure Faure Faure Faure Faure,
The new GPS offers navigation that takes into account the characteristics of the truck (length, height, transport of hazardous substances, etc.), so that prohibited zones, unsuitable bridges or legal obstacles are avoided. Another advantage: users of the app have the habit of reporting incidents such as control areas, accidents or objects on the roadway. They can also report any obstacles that are not indicated in the GPS. The subscription to this GPS costs 6.99 euros per month in Europe. Depending on the number of licenses purchased, fleet can benefit from scale discounts.
