Transuniverse Forwarding has established a new strategic partnership with Istanbul-based Talay Logistics, one of the fastest growing players in the Turkish transport and logistics sector.
Turkey has been a core country in the groupage network since the founding of Transuniverse in 1983. Currently, 20 trucks leave for Turkey every week, a frequency that will increase in the short term.
An important advantage of Talay Logistics is its expertise in intermodal transport, which means that in addition to semi-trailers, Transuniverse will also use 45-foot containers on the Turkey line. “In this way we offer our customers a sustainable transport solution,” says Operations Director Lodewijk De Meulemeester.
Talay Logistics, founded in 2014 by Onur Talay under the name Sarp Intermodal, was renamed to its current name in 2024. The company offers a complete logistics service, with its own transport, storage, contract logistics and customs clearance through its subsidiary Talay Customs. With more than 300 of its own trucks and national coverage, Talay is an established name in Turkish logistics.
Transuniverse Forwarding, with headquarters in Wondelgem (Ghent), is a specialist in groupage transport with destinations throughout Europe, the Maghreb, Turkey and the Middle East. The company was founded in 1983 by Frank Adins and has its own branches in France, Morocco and Romania.
