Transport Luypaert is also committed to the energy transition. The transport company from Lier has just put its first electric tractor into use. It concerns a Mercedes eActros 600 that is used for forklift transport in Belgium.
“We have stood for reliable and efficient transport since 1980, and today we are taking a big step towards sustainable mobility. With this fully electric truck we significantly reduce our CO₂ emissions and noise pollution — without sacrificing performance. Moreover, we are making history because we are the first transporter to transport forklift trucks in Belgium in this ‘green’ way. Sustainability is not a buzzword for us, but a strategic choice,” says Peter Verbiest, manager of Transport Luypaert.
