Edco, a Belgian specialist focused on training and broadcasting truck drivers and logistics staff, was taken over by Logistic Force on 1 August, a Dutch HR service provider.
Edco was founded in 2010 by Frank Van Langendonck. Today, the company offers various driving courses (including in categories C, CE, D and DE) and temporary employment activities aimed at the transport and logistics sector. Edco has its own fleet of more than 15 vehicles and is active from locations in Genk & Zulte Waregem.
Logistic Force also has been around for 15 years and offers the combination of broadcasting, training and recruitment in transport and logistics. Logistic Force recently expanded to other services for the middle and higher framework such as secondment, interim mediation, consultancy, facilitating training courses and optimizing and transforming business processes throughout the Supply Chain. This happened through the acquisitions of Via Logistics professionals and Urands. Logistic Force currently has 22 branches in the Netherlands and two locations in Belgium.
Martin van Dijk, general director Logistic Force: “With our buy-and-build strategy, Logistic Force focuses not only on the international market, but also on broadening and deepening our services. The goal is to cover all facets in transport and the logistics chain and thus grow into an even more complete HR service provider for our customers. ” DThe takeover of Edco is the first step towards internationalization, but according to Martin van Dijk, Logistic Force is not nearly finished with their acquisition-driven growth strategy: “We are still in conversation with many interesting parties that can further improve the quality and depth of our services.”
Frank Van Langendonck and his partner Ester remain closely involved with the company in an advisory role. However, Frank Van Langendonck currently has a second priority: The breakthrough of his son Dries as a driver. McLaren Racing offered the Young Dries (15) a contract in the McLaren Driver Development program in July 2024 and will soon start in Formula 4 (the intermediate switch between karting and Formula 3).
