Toyo Tire Corporation has been selected for the CDP A List, the highest rating in the climate change category, for the first time. CDP is an international non-profit organization that conducts environmental information surveys and facilitates disclosure. CDP collects information on initiatives in climate change action, water resource management, forest conservation and other areas, and publishes evaluation results annually.
Commenting on the news, Toyo representatives stated: “We have been actively promoting decarbonization initiatives, including obtaining SBT certification for our greenhouse gas emissions reduction targets and switching to electricity derived from renewable energy sources, primarily at our production facilities. Furthermore, we were highly commended for improving the reliability of our disclosed information through data verification by independent third-party specialist organizations.”
