TotalEnergies first recognized toll provider for kilometer charging in the Netherlands

Must read

TotalEnergies Marketing & Services is the first European Electronic Toll Service (EETS) provider to obtain accreditation for the new kilometer-based toll charging system for trucks in the Netherlands. That system will come into effect on July 1, 2026.

The new toll scheme applies to trucks over 3.5 tonnes and uses GNSS technology (satellite navigation). The system is therefore in line with similar kilometer charges in Belgium and Germany, among others.

Thanks to the accreditation, AS 24, the subsidiary of TotalEnergies specialized in mobility solutions for heavy transport, can also offer toll payments in the Netherlands via the PASSango service. This adds the country to the existing network, allowing transport companies to manage their toll administration in multiple European countries via one platform. Today, trucks can already pay tolls in 21 European countries via PASSango.
