Trelleborg Tires, owned by Yokohama Rubber, expanded its premium range of agricultural solutions with the launch of the TM800 PowerFlex tire. Trelleborg said the high-efficiency product is engineered to maximize performance in both field and road applications. Built for today’s mid- to high-powered tractors, the TM800 PowerFlex is designed to meet the evolving demands of modern farming.
At the core of the TM800 PowerFlex tire is a combination of Very High Flexion – Pressure Field Operations (VF-PFO) construction and Trelleborg Tires’ patented ProgressiveTraction lug design. These technologies work together to deliver strong flotation and superior grip, even under tough field conditions, Trelleborg said.
According to Trelleborg, the newly designed central rib, modeled on road tire geometry offers improved handling, driving comfort, and high-speed stability. This allows for transitions between fieldwork and long-distance transport.
Field Tests Confirm Traction and Efficiency Gains of the TM800 PowerFlex Tire
Recent tests show the TM800 PowerFlex delivers up to 20% more traction than premium competitors. Its 5% wider footprint reduces soil compaction, which Trelleborg said helps protect crop yield and promote sustainability. In wet environments, redesigned interlug terraces deliver 5% better self-cleaning, ensuring consistent operation and less downtime.
On the road, the tire demonstrated 6% lower rolling resistance, which Trelleborg said means better fuel efficiency. Drivers also benefit from enhanced handling and up to 20% longer tire life, features that improve comfort while lowering total cost of ownership.
Higher Load Capacity With VF-PFO Construction
The TM800 PowerFlex’s VF-PFO technology gives farmers an advantage during low-speed field operations, Trelleborg said. Compared to standard tires, it supports 17% more constant load at 10 km/h (approx. 6 MPH) and up to 40% more load at equal inflation pressure. This increases operational capacity without sacrificing safety or durability.
Digital Access and Long-Term Performance Guarantee
Each TM800 PowerFlex tire includes an integrated QR code for instant access to technical data and recommendations, directly from the field.
The manufacturer said all Trelleborg Tires, including this latest model, deliver premium performance and extended durability.
Trelleborg now offers a certified tread wear performance of up to 5,000 hours for the TM800 PowerFlex and select other ProgressiveTraction rear tires. Farmers can access this benefit by registering their tires through the Premium Care Portal, Trelleborg said.
“With the TM800 PowerFlex, we’ve reimagined what farmers can expect from a tire,” said Luca Sabelli, Brand Director Trelleborg Tires. “It’s the result of our deep understanding of real working conditions, where product innovation and real field results deliver practical benefits every day. It is how we turn innovation into value, helping agri professionals achieve more, with less. Designed from the soil up, it empowers our customers to go further, do more, and do it better.”
Currently available in two sizes, 650/65R38 and 540/65R28, the TM800 PowerFlex will expand into four additional sizes in the coming months.
