The Tire Industry Association (TIA) has opened nominations for the Tire Industry Hall of Fame, its highest honor. TIA established the Hall of Fame to recognize individuals who significantly contribute to the growth or development of the tire industry. The award also honors those who show strong ideals, high standards, and leadership in their business. TIA welcomes nominations for all individuals in the tire industry, including manufacturers, inventors, publishers, equipment suppliers, tire association executives, tire dealers, tire and rubber recyclers, and retreaders. The selection committee may induct individuals posthumously.
Selection Criteria for the Tire Industry Hall of Fame
Judges select inductees based on the following criteria:
- Contributing new ideas that improve the tire industry
- Providing exemplary service in the industry
- Earning the respect of peers and acting as a role model
- Showing distinguished and inspiring leadership
- Achieving exceptional accomplishments with a lasting industry impact
“The tire industry has been built by innovators and leaders who recognized the need for a product or service,” said Richard “Dick” Gust, TIA CEO. “TIA created the Hall of Fame to recognize these historical contributions. We look forward to honoring the next inductees who will become a permanent part of the association’s history.”
Honorees to Be Recognized at Global Tire Expo
The committee will consider civic, cultural, educational, or charitable involvement. However, these efforts will not serve as the primary basis for selection.
TIA will announce honorees in the fall. It will recognize them at its pre-show events before the Global Tire Expo/SEMA Show, scheduled for Nov. 4–7, 2025.
To submit a nomination, visit the Tire Industry Hall of Fame Nominations page.
The committee must receive nominations by Monday, June 23, 2025.
