Three new features from MAN in 2026, including a TGX with 640 hp

Must read

On the sidelines of the presentation of its financial and operational results for the year 2025, MAN Truck & Bus announced which novelties it will introduce in the course of 2026. For 2026, the German manufacturer expects a slight recovery in demand in the main European truck markets and continued demand for light commercial vehicles.

MAN is particularly excited to sell 620 electric trucks by 2025. This figure is thanks to the new eTGX, but MAN’s electric truck range will be expanded in 2026 with the 12-ton eTGL (already announced) and another 16-ton model, likely a new eTGM.

In a completely different area, MAN will soon announce a new heavy-duty tractor for exceptional transport and road trains up to 250 tons. It is a TGX tractor with four axles, equipped with a D38 engine of 640 hp and 3000 Nm of torque. Compared to the model on the market until 2024, this tractor features a new ZF TraXon Torque gearbox with 12 speeds and torque converter. This transmission ensures a hydrodynamic increase in torque, which provides optimal traction when pulling away and accelerating with a full load.

The new MAN TGX 41.640 8×4/4 BB SA will no longer be finished at the ÖAF plant in Austria, but at the Wittlich plant in Germany, where the Individual S versions are also produced.
