Truck Park Liège is the name of a new secure parking lot for trucks that will be officially opened on December 4 by the Hesbymazout company, a subsidiary of the Liège Uhoda group. The site is located near exit 30 of the E40 and has an area of 28,000 m².
There are 143 places for trucks, a number of which are suitable for eco-combis. For vehicles with temperature control, there are sockets to supply the cooling units with power without noise pollution. The security level is high: the car park is designed according to the criteria of the ‘EU Parking Gold’ level with access control, a fence, reinforced lighting, cameras and 24/7 surveillance.
Drivers will find an equipped relaxation/dining area (TV, microwaves, vending machines for food, drinks and basic personal hygiene products), free sanitary facilities, showers and ten rooms (eight singles and two doubles) for longer rest periods. “Unique in Wallonia, the site also has an area for female drivers, with toilets, showers and specific facilities (mirrors, hairdryers, dispensers for hygienic products, secure rest area),” explains Alain Riskin (Hesbymazout).
