Nebim is expanding its services in Zele with a new service: technical inspection on location. Companies no longer have to drive to an inspection center. The SBAT Zele inspectors arrive on site for this purpose.
“We increasingly noticed that customers were annoyed by the time they lost when they had to go to an inspection center with their equipment. If our technicians went to the inspection in their place, they were confronted with extra costs due to the waiting times that often increased and also had to be paid,” says Erik Van den Meerssche, Branch Manager Nebim Zele. “Transport companies in particular have tight schedules. Every hour that a vehicle stands still means losses. We wanted to offer a solution that takes less time and effort. That’s how we came up with the idea of having the inspection take place in our own workshop.”
Not only Volvo trucks, but all brands and all types of equipment are welcome. “We do not do the first inspection and we do not inspect vans or passenger cars. Everything else is possible,” says Erik Van den Meerssche. “SBAT inspectors come every week at fixed times to carry out the inspection in the workshop. The customer makes an appointment with Nebim and brings the equipment to Zele at the agreed time. “Our technicians then prepare the equipment for inspection. If desired, we can also carry out maintenance or repairs at that time. A check of the wheel alignment or a tacho calibration is also possible. Immediately afterwards, the inspection itself can continue, without any additional travel being required.”
