Team Member Ownership Plan Implemented by TGI

Must read

Tire Group International (TGI), a global Cosmo Tires distributor and manufacturer, announced a new Team Member Ownership Plan. Every team member now holds ownership in the company. The plan awards 10% of the company’s value to all employees, regardless of role or tenure.

“Since we re-acquired full control of TGI in late 2022, we knew we wanted to reward our entire team for their unwavering dedication,” said Tony Gonzalez, CEO and Founder of TGI. “What makes this especially meaningful is that by implementing the Team Member Ownership Plan, our team will receive an added financial benefit directly from their smart work, sacrifice, and commitment. TGI has always been about more than tires – it’s about people, family, and building a legacy together. Our mission is clear: grow the Cosmo Tires brand and build something extraordinary. And we’re doing it as one team, one family, with every single member having a stake in our shared success. As long as I have the privilege to lead, I’ll continue to nurture and reward the incredible people who make TGI what it is.”

TGI is the parent company of its Cosmo Tires brand, which it says is integral to its mission of growth and innovation. The company focuses on tire sales, tire maintenance, and tire repair. These offerings meet the needs of independent tire dealers.

This decision is part of TGI’s long-term vision to ensure its team remains engaged, empowered, and inspired to push the organization forward, the company says. According to TGI, it underscores the company’s philosophy that true success is measured not only in financial growth, but in the growth and well-being of the people who make it possible.

TGI says that it has operated with a mission rooted in trust, family, and innovation for over 30 years.
